THE TEAM
Our team takes great pride and pleasure in raising awareness about Central Europe's and especially Austria's rich cultural heritage by connecting international clients with interesting personalities of distinguished provenance. We especially value our relationship with partners and clients, and that is what gives So Me Travel the personal touch it's known for.
Sophie Mensdorff-Pouilly
(Founder and Managing Director)
Hailing from Salzburg, Sophie was immersed in the arts from a young age. She was invited to join the “Young Friends of the Salzburg Festival” and travelled with the group throughout Europe to see many theatre, opera and concert productions. That led to her pursuing a masters study in theatre and literature in Vienna and Pisa.
Sophie began her career with the Vienna Tourist Board. She organised press trips for journalists from all over the world where her proficiency in four European languages proved invaluable. Since 2010, Sophie has been living in South-East Asia and China and is now based in Hong Kong. The founding of So Me Travel was a natural step in combining her experiences, talents and vision for the cultural sphere.
Felix Clam-Martinic
(Head of Operations)
Based in our Vienna office, Felix helps connect our clients with experts of music, art and architecture. Felix’ passion for the industry can be traced back to growing up on his family’s ancestral castle grounds, Burg Clam. Since returning to his roots in bespoke travel experiences from a career as a seasoned director in the corporate sector, Felix has been the nexus of So Me Travel.
Felix adds exceptional cultural value by arranging private visits to unique historical places and meetings with outstanding personalities. His personal touch gives our tours the special quality So Me Travel is known for.
Culture Professionals
(Experts in their Fields)
Culture professionals who are experts in their fields join us on the bespoke journeys from across Europe. Their brief is to enlighten and stimulate, not merely to inform – and they also have to be good travelling companions. Additional expert speakers are a key ingredient. They are selected not only for their knowledge but also for their ability to communicate clearly and engagingly to a lay audience.
Past speakers have included museum and festival directors, curators, artists and historians. They have fuelled our guests’ interests in certain operas, artistic movements and cultural phenomena in a way that they continue to speak about those talks, dinners and meetings long after the trip is over.
